Fun fact!!!! I recently watched a movie named "Samurai GI," a Sonni Cheba movie from the 70's. He and his lazy Japanesse Defense force are mysteriously transported to classical Japan via a similar phenomenon, with no specific explanation.
Honest to God, if you ever see this movie, you'll know the intellectual roots of The Final Countdown are not Mark Twain (A Conneticut Yankee....) but an obscure Japanese movie...
