Very good movie. Part sports movie part family drama. Part Raging Bull part Rocky. The acting is the standout here however. Mark Wahlberg does a good job but for me Christian Bale steals the show. I'm going to bet on a Oscar nom for this performance.
At times you hate Dicky and don't want to see him come back from the abyss but in the end you have to give in to him just like Micky does. Also good work from the female cast with Adams and Leo both brilliant.
If you like a solid rousing sports movie you'll like this.
