Review of The Fighter (2010) by Savagesophia — 22 Dec 2010
Who doesn't like an underdog story? We haven't had one this good in a long time. I went for Amy Adams and Christian Bale, but was pleasantly surprised at Mark Wahlberg's understated, calm performance. In a film with so many intense characters, it is not easy to hold your own without screaming and punching.
Miraculously, Wahlberg - the fighter - is the least aggressive yet gives some clarity to the chaos.
