Awesome film. As per usual, both Wahlberg and Bale do an outstanding job of acting, as does Amy Adams as Micky's girlfriend. At the end of the day, it's a sports movie, but it's an extremely good one that has characteristics most typical sports movies do not have.
It draws you in with the in-depth and at times depressing story of Micky Ward's life and then his turn around into a champion.
