Some great performances here (especially Bale) but honestly.. all it made me want to do is go back and watch ROCKY again. During the last fight I was playing Bill Conti in my head the whole time, it even had the nuts to end on a still frame.
HELLO?? Interesting story, but rubbed me too wrong (Rocky compariosns). Can any boxing film be ROCKY proof? Thats a tough question. I'll leave this as an interesting cultural movie about Irish families in Boston.
. at least Ben Affleck and/or Matt Damon didn't have to be there to "pawk tha caw". Meh.
