Review of The Fighter (2010) by Ayip F — 29 Jun 2012
This had been sitting in my Netflix queue for too long, and I was reminded to watch it after hearing Louis CK on a podcast earlier this week talking about what a great guy Micky Ward is in real life.
Overall, it was a solid movie. Christian Bale was outstanding. Wahlberg plays the role well, and Amy Adams really carried her role well. I'm disappointed the movie didn't focus on any of Ward's fights with Gotto, but it was a powerful story.
