This film isn't quite the masterpiece people are describing it as. It has two very good central performances and a smoking hot Amy Adams, but it is filled with loathsome characters who I spent large parts of the film hating.
The boxing scenes are done well and Bale's is a standout performance. Must go and find my Rocky box set...
