Review of The Fifth Estate (2013) by Tony L — 24 Feb 2014
This is by no means a good movie, nor is it indicative of Cumberbatch's ability as an actor. It's not much more than slow moving piffle that doesn't amount to much of anything. For such a fascinating story, the film chose to focus little of its time and efforts on depicting those fascinating elements.
Instead we are treated to the limited range of Daniel Bruhl for a little over two hours, and it is unsatisfying to say the least.
