Review of The Fifth Element (1997) by Carl H — 08 Mar 2012
I loved this film as a kid and it still packs a punch. This is a great classic futuristic action adventure film in the style of Blade Runner, with a great story, interesting characters and full of imagination.
Not only a great Luc Beeson film, it stars the amazing Bruce Willis, who is one of my favourite actors, but Milla Jovovich steals the show this time in her role as Leeloo. Like any good adventure film, I love the villains of the film as well as well as the heroes.
In this film, four elements are needed to save the earth from a great flaming meteorite; four elements are need to stop this, including the mysterious fifth. One day taxi driver Korben (Bruce Willis) is driving along, when crash, the fifth element falls into his taxi and she turns out to be a girl named Leeloo, who is on the run from the authorities.
He now has to help her on a dangerous mission, can he do it?
