Review of The Fifth Element (1997) by Bradley W — 11 Jul 2012
The Fifth Element just wasn't a film I could enjoy, mainly due to a boring story and awful characters. Bruce Willis has been one of my favorite modern actors, but he really should've just stayed away from this film.
I mean this film is sluggishly slow, the costumes look like they were made in the 1960's, and the characters were just so unlikable and weird. I realize they were going for some strange science fiction film, but I didn't enjoy it.
The special effects were great for the time, but not enough to keep me interested. Chris Tucker ruins this film, and Milla Jovovich and Gary Oldman had incredibly strange characters that I found myself strongly disliking.
The Fifth Element is a film that others seem to enjoy, but I truly didn't enjoy the film due to it just being strange with everything we are given.
