Review of The Fifth Element (1997) by Caleb B — 24 Jul 2017
Luc Besson created a modern mythology taking inspiration from well known French comic book art, with two of the genre's famous illustrators providing their trademark influential designs for the concept.
The film combines mysticism, modern outlook, science fiction, and a ragtag team of strangers out to save the world. Thankfully it has no business taking itself seriously. An intriguing premise helmed with great performances bring this film up to the cult classic position it rightfully deserves.
