Review of The Fearless Vampire Killers (1967) by Sean R — 19 Dec 2007
I was somewhat disappointed by this film, given the extreme hype and the filmmaker (the filmâ??s title is the funniest thing about it). That being said, it was a rather amusing parody of the Hammer horror films (the apprentice reminds me of myself as I am now, and the professor reminds me of the man I will likely one day become).
The sets, costumes and cinematography were particularly good. The last portion of the film is the strongest, chiefly because of Sydney Bromleyâ??s excellent performance as Count Von Krolock (heavily featured in the classic Skinny Puppy track Rivers).
