If I could give zero stars I would. It is so bad in so many ways...where to start? The musical score is beyond annoying; atonal and very distracting. I hated the fishbowl cinematographic scenes. It was like a very bad pano shot on an iPhone.
And the costumes! Ugh! Everyone wearing monochromatic dresses in patterns not used in the era. The only thing remotely authentic were the cut of the dresses. And am I the only one who noticed that the dresses had zippers, a 20th century invention!? Come on, how hard is it to get that detail right? But why was I focused on irrelevant details like that? Because the story was so incredibly boring, that I had to amuse myself somehow to make it to the end.
About that end...the final scene was so terrible, something out of a bad high school film class. But I was so happy to see the credits roll and the misery to be over, I'll let it pass.The acting was good, but no where near enough to redeem this turkey.
