Review of The Fault in Our Stars (2014) by Dorian G — 11 Jan 2015
An emotional rollercoaster, I'm sure the novel is slightly better. I adore the writer of the book, John Green, as his YouTube videos are inspiring and hilarious. I watched this movie mainly to support him, but also because I heard that you couldn't watch this movie without crying. I did cry. It's quite the story. The teenage love story grows old quickly, but the drama with the parents and the general emotional heartbreak near the end make this a good movie, at least if you're looking for a tear-jerker.
Watched on DVD from Redbox with Sam at her house, January 11, 2015.
