Review of The Fate of the Furious (2017) by Christi C — 09 May 2017
The beginning was slow with obvious dialogue but by just past halfway, it was what I expect from this team (albeit missing Paul Walker and Jordana Brewster, which I truly believe was the right choice on her part as there's no Mia without Brian if you're a true fan).
It seemed forced at first and then they hit their groove. And when they're on, THEY'RE ON! I was prepared to dislike Eastwood, as he kinda took Paul's place... but I couldn't help liking him and the character.
It was loud, lots of turns and changes of scenery... just like many of the others. Still, without Paul, it's never going to be the same. I'm glad I went to see it. Highly entertaining. And somewhat sentimental.
But 1, 5 and 7 will always be my favorites. RIP Paul. I'm sure he's very proud of the work you all did.
