Review of The Family Man (2000) by Zachary K — 14 Dec 2014
Truly excellent film has a familiar message, but it is delivered so impeccably that it is nearly impossible to notice. Nicholas Cage's best performance drives the film, with terrific support from a charismatic cast including Tea Leoni and the always wonderful Don Cheadle.
Incredibly underrated and emotionally powerful, this forgotten gem outshines nearly every holiday film I can think of, defying genre restrictions while conveying what it really means to have a family.
Superb.
