Review of The Family Man (2000) by Dann M — 19 Dec 2014
Wall Street investor Jack Campbell gets a glimpse at the life that could have been in the holiday film The Family Man. The cast includes Nicolas Cage, Tea Leoni, and Don Cheadle, who all give great performances and have strong onscreen chemistry.
The comedy's lighthearted and good-natured, though some of it's a little obvious. And the writing has some cleverness to it, as it retells a familiar tale in a new and engaging way. Though it may be formulaic, The Family Man is an inspiring Capraesque film that has a bit of magic to it.
