Review of The Fallen Idol (1948) by Noble D — 17 Mar 2008
Greene's writing here is flawless. In a plot in which very little actually occurs he builds a suspenseful story which engages the viewer. Furthermore his ability to connect viewers to the regrettably flawed Baines is uncanny.
Several gorgeous shots and great performances. Solid, solid film.
