Review of The Fallen Idol (1948) by Orlok W — 04 Jul 2014
Beautiful precursor to Reed's "Third Man," this thrilling tale about an accident that leads to a murder investigation helps tear down the walls of what children perceive as reality. Reed masterfully exhibits the end of a child's innocence as their role models begin to shed their impervious skin.
Fine performances all around.
