Review of The Fallen Idol (1948) by Matt G — 25 Sep 2010
An interesting British mystery/satire of mannerisms. With the eerily distorted, shadowy visuals from a child's point of view, Graham Greene's prolificacy and sense of irony has rarely been more effective.
But without Carol Reed's brilliant visual eye and his actor's timing, this film would be just another mystery.
