Review of The Fall (2006) by Pete L — 29 Oct 2010
Another fantastic piece of art by Tarsem Singh(The Cell). The plot revolves around a paralyzed stuntman named Roy Walker(Lee Pace from Pushing Daisies) as he tells a little girl named Alexandria a fantasy story about 5 mythical heros on a quest to get revenge on one man who has done wrong to them.
Back in the real world, Roy and Alexandria are both in a hospital in Los Angeles suffering from different injuries. The art direction is fanastic and mesmerizing. The Director claims that there were no computer generated effects used in the film which makes it even more amazing.
Most of the acting is pretty good, but I found the little girl who played Alexandria to be annoying or maybe it was just her character. I also found the story to be a little weak and uninteresting at times, but the art direction makes up for it.
