Review of The Fall (2006) by Conor Mcmanus M — 13 Apr 2012
Although visually stunning and portrayed through the eyes of a child, to call this film a companion to 'Pan's Labyrinth' is both wildly optimistic and ever-so-slightly insulting to Guillermo Del Toro's masterpiece of cinema (which has, after all, awed both film-makers and audience alike, with its unrivalled cinematography and story-telling).
However, there is still merit to this extravagant film: the locations and sets alone are enough to make one's eyes water with sheer joy.
