Review of The Fabulous Baker Boys (1989) by Blais E — 03 Nov 2010
Intense & well-acted drama/pseudo romantic-comedy, essentially an insightful, dialogue-driven character-study detailing the explosively-emotional relationships between two small-time musicians & the beautiful but rough-around-the-edges wanna-be singer who comes between them, featuring top-notch perfs by the Brothers Bridges and especially the stunning and smoldering Michelle Pfeiffer in an uncharacteristically abrasive and brassy role.
Long and talky at times, but well-worth the time spent.
