Review of The Extra Man (2010) by Kathleen P — 25 Nov 2010
The Extra Man is immediately engaging with its pleasant instrumental music, the excellent narration, and the whimsical scenery. It follows a sort of soft-spoken and awkward young man, and a super hilariously weird older man.
It is interesting as we follow their somewhat strained relationship and the tidbits of their lives and identities that surface. I think it is also especially interesting because the young man is a bit discomfited with women while at the same time struggles with exploring his sexuality with cross-dressing.
Really different, thought-provoking, and charming.
