Review of The Exterminator (1980) by Bill B — 05 Jan 2012
This is what a "Punisher" movie should be like, gritty, violent and disturbing and that's my bag baby. The opening scene in Vietnam is shocking but it really does grab you from the start.
They don't make 'em like this any more, I love this era of films (70's & 80's) when everything looks dirty and vicious. It makes it all feel more real (Hey, that rhymed).
The odd bit of acting is ropey and some of the effects are dated looking, but I'll take this over that Transformers bullshit anyday!
If you like Death Wish, Dirty Harry and other classics of the genre then you'll enjoy The Exterminator.
