Heavy-handed, obvious direction telegraphs where this is headed, and not helped by some serious over-acting, personified by Forrest Whitaker of all people as the nebbish who turns mad with power. Only stuck around to see how it ended - with an anticlimactic whimper.
The original has got to be 10x better than this clumsy stab at drama. Adrien Brody takes a real beating, and not just his career.
