Review of The Expendables (2010) by Arjun I — 08 May 2013
This movie should be rated as AAA....because it has Action, Action Heroes and AMAZING action heroes. The movie's star cast is so full of testosterone you'll develop a man crush by the end of it all.
The Best plans are often the simplest ones....and this has never been more true for movies made by Sly Stallone. He's taken some of the best action actors of Yesterday and Today and brought them all together in a movie, that doesnt really have a story.
...which is good, considering that noones really there for the story, everyones there for the action and the action is plentiful. Every actor was given a fight sequence based on their own unique style of fighting.
Sleek evade, avoid and counter moves for Jet, Improvisation and flashy take downs for Jason and full on MMA grappling for Randy and Stone Cold. However, the only let down I felt in the movie was Gary Daniels.
I mean seriously, hes one of the most under-rated action stars ever, he deserved a better fight sequence. Other than that, the movie delivers on all fronts, and I cant wait to lay my eyeballs on the sequel.
