Review of The Expendables (2000) by Brian M — 29 Oct 2012
[in the middle of a Mexican standoff, a faint buzzing sound can be heard].
Barney Ross: What's that?
Lee Christmas: I'm getting a text.
Barney Ross: Excuse me?
A military action movie that doesn't really disappoint. The movie altogether is not that bad. I thought that this movie was just gonna be kill kill kill with absolutely no story. I was surprised in fact because having Sylvester Stallone could write a acceptable script was surprising. The only problem of the movie that ANYONE could find was just he real extreme violence. People are shot, stabbed, smashed, kicked, punched, impaled, exploded, blown in half, tortured, sliced, burned, and ran over throughout the entire movie. The movie did not have as much strong language as I thought there would be. Which is good. But still this movie is not for little kids. It's for a bunch of dudes wanting to see stuff blow up and oooooh and ahhhhh over it. So overall a alright movie. Recommend it for the dudes. Haha 3 stars is a good rating for this movie.
