A very, VERY underrated movie. Before seeing it, I had in mind that it was bad because I'd never heard anything about it and it was the 3rd installment of a franchise (I went with the odds). Didn?t help that the 2nd Exorcist is barely watchable.
I saw it alone in my room in the dark but during the day. It not only freaked me out but it stayed with me for a while after. It's the perfect sequel for the best horror ever made (in my opinion).
It's not a copy of the original, it has it's own style and ignores the events of the Exorcist 2 (aka Pile of Crap). And Brad Dourif (the voice of Chucky...a little horror trivia for you) is absolutely, unbelievably terrifying and mesmerizing at the same time.
You hang on to his every word. He should have gotten some recognition for that performance. Maybe he did...
