Review of The Exorcist III (1990) by Aaron B — 21 Aug 2007
Completely underrated. This movie gets over looked a lot because of how horrible Exorcist II was, but this movie got it right. Writer/director William Peter Blatty uses his novel Legion (which was some what of a sequel to the original Exorcist) and creates a moody, psychological horror movie.
Contains one the single greatest jump scares in horror movie history. It loses a star because of the studio forcing him to include a cheesey exorcism scene at the end (which was mainly because they forced him to call it Exorcist III, even though he just wanted to call it Legion).
Highly, highly, highly recommended.
