Let's forget Exorcist II ever happened. Let's forget that it sucked huge nasty balls and was retarded and Linda Blair wore out her welcome in the first film. Let's forget that ever happened.
This film is the shit. It's unsettling and creepy and does everything right. The cinematography is great and all the actors fill their roles superbly. Brad Dourif is amazing as the Gemini Killer. This movie can appeal to many different genre lovers: slasher, mystery, horror, thriller.
..it's all there. I think its great William Peter Blatty was so hands on with it because he was able to bring his novel to life. This movie rivals The Exorcist (1973) in greatness and is probably one of the most underrated horror movies of all time.
