Review of The Exorcist (1973) by Mark J — 24 Jan 2013
Somebody's gotta puncture the sacred cow, right? The only thing that really terrifies me about this movie is the complete lack of sympathy for the little girl Regan. Director Friedkin treats her more like a punching bag or a pin cushion than a human being.
This movie is horrific in all the wrong ways. I know the horror genre is about breaking taboos, but sorry, I have to draw the line somewhere.
