Review of The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) by Tuukka P — 24 Jun 2011
A movie based on a real events (although heavily edited for cinematic purposes) about a court case conserning exorcism of a 19-year old girl. Half horror movie and half court room drama this movie could have worked better (and stood out more) if more time would have been spent on the "realistic" side of the story.
Now some of the those "horror" moments (quite cliched too) seem a bit pasted upon. Strong performances from Wilkinson and Linney and a fierce portrayal of a possessed/unstable woman by Carpenter.
A bit different kind of an exorcism movie.
