How often do we get a film that truly gets you to think about your religion, how often do we get a horror film that doesn't rely on gore for its scares. Well, that is the case with the Exorcism Of Emily Rose.

Half of the movie takes place in a cortroom, where Father Richard Moore is on trial since people believe that the exorcism he preformed on Emily Rose was the reason of her death. It is well acted, intense, and right up there with other horror films.

The other half of the film is about the possession of Emily Rose (Jennifer Carpenter) and how she slowly went insane. It scared the living hell out of me, there are some genually creepy moments here that will get under your skin.

The supernatural effects are really done here, and Carpenter does a good job of portraying the madness that Emily is descending into. As hard as this may seem to believe, this film will keep you thinking after the credits roll about religion, weather or not Emily was truly possessed.

They leave it up to you to figure out, and it works to this movie's strenghts. While I highly doubt weather or not this is a true story, and this movie isn't for everyone, I find that it is an entertaining film nonetheless.
