Review of The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) by Damjan R — 16 Mar 2013
Sufficiently scary to merit a viewing but grossly over written and over acted at times this film is only for horror fans without high expectations. The script is the star of this mess, because of its curious structure that undercuts any momentum of pace the film builds up.
The dialogue and direction in it are at times so bad that they make even pretty good actors (Laura Linney) look rather ordinary. Recommended for horror fans, but be wary of having high expectations.
