Review of The Ex (2006) by Krista H — 06 Mar 2008
I have to admit, the story is weak...weeeeaaaaakkkkk. The casting is alright but its completely broken with the oddness of the advertising job, the aloofness of the parents, Amanda Peet's old classmate and of course creepy Jason Bateman.
Are we in Eerie Indiana here? It was just a little to "odd to be true" situation. I did think the chemistry of Amanda Peet and Zach Braff was fabulous! They played it like a couple who still really love each other although the arguments were too tame to be true for a married couple.
There were so very funny parts, I did laugh out loud in scenes which is great but all in all, not really worth it unless your roommate/friend owns it and lets you borrow it or you have a free rental you don't mind wasting.
