Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Eytan D — 19 Jul 2012
With a genuine love for horror movies, Sam Raimi succeeded at making the most over the top, gory, frightening, and even funny cabin in the woods flick ever made. The violence in this film is so insane, you can't help but love the ridiculousness of it all.
But the moments of posession are definitely some creepy stuff. Five college students head out to the woods to party, and instead summon a group of demons who posess them all. Only Ash can stop it! Bruce Campbell created one of the most quotable horror protagonists in history.
If you can stomach its gruesome style, The Evil Dead is perfect for you.
