Review of The Evil Dead (1981) by Megan G — 19 Feb 2014
So bad, it hurts. But in the infamous words of John Cougar "Hurts so good!" Certain horror movies are not meant to be taken too terribly seriously and this is certainly one of them. The special effects are campy and the acting is generally terrible, but it is an all around good time and a horror classic.
Plus, it is the lead-in to two much greater movies, its sequels Evil Dead 2 and Army of Darkness, so it sort of gains props by association.
