I am in love with ghosts. So is he.

Hana is a nurse treating a dying man suffering from burns after a plane crash and wandering in the desert. The man initially doesn't remember much of his past, but as a visitor arrives, the tale of the mysteriously injured man unfolds. The visitor tells a tale of espionage but the wounded man explains the espionage as the only way a love affair could survive.

"Ask your saint who he is. Who he killed.".

Anthony Minghella, director of Truly Madly Deeply, The Talented Mr. Ripley, Cold Mountain, and Breaking and Entering, delivers The English Patient. The storyline for this picture is amazing and wonderfully delivered. The end is always in doubt and the complexity of the plots and subplots are fascinating and impressively intricate. I loved the character development and the cast delivers remarkable performances. The cast includes Ralph Fiennes, Juliette Binochi, Willem Dafoe, and Colin Firth.

"I'm just letting you know I'm not missing you yet.".

"You will. You will.".

I was actually flicking through the channels and came across this film and thought, "this is a movie I should see." Well, I was thoroughly impressed with this picture (it totally made up for my disappointment in The Master this weekend ;). Overall, this is an excellent movie that is definitely worth seeing and perhaps even adding to your DVD collection if you think you'd watch it more than once.
