Review of The Enforcer (1976) by Daniel H — 27 Aug 2009
With a group of revolutionary terrorists demanding $2 million from the city of San Francisco, Harry Callahan is at it again. However, much inner city politics detracts from what could've been a great movie. The forced teaming of a female partner, Inspector Kate Moore, formerly in personnel, now in homicide for the first time, marks the problem that affirmative action has-that politics is no substitute for experience.
While Clint Eastwood goes through his usual motions as Callahan, Tyne Daly, best known as Lacey in the Cagney and Lacey TV cop series, has great moments as Harry's wet behind the ears partner. Not good, but not that bad either.
