Review of The Enforcer (1976) by Jim E — 24 May 2010
It's a good movie. In my opinion, it is marginally inferior to the first two, but still solid. Like the first two films in the series, The Enforcer is ideologically charged. Also, like the first two films, this movie is not to be taken completely seriously.
Is it supposed to be realistic that in this series, Harry constantly breaks the rules, is punished/demoted, and is then reinstated within a day or two? No. Harry is just a bad-ass who wants to stop the bad guys, and who doesn't like the fact that the system's rules makes it harder for him to do so.
Anyone can understand where he is coming from. But anyone can also understand how dangerous it would be to let cops (or anyone) deal out "justice" however they saw fit.
