If you loved Das Boot, then check out this no-nonsense sub vs. destroyer movie that pits two sea captains (Robert Mitchum and Kurt Jurgens) against each other in the Pacific. It's all very well directed by Dick Powell and is supposedly an inspiration for the Wrath of Khan and an episode from the Star Trek TV series.
