Review of The Enemy Below (1957) by Tommy H — 18 Oct 2014
An American general faces off against a German U-boat captain, for this basic submarine warfare movie. Unlike the claustrophic Das Boot, The Enemy Below takes mostly place on the America ship, as a sort of cousin to the other film.
Strong in character development and not much else, it has the elements of humanity to take the place of the lack of suspense, which this film lacks.
