As entertainment of any kind, it is absurd praise to compare this with My Dinner with Andre, as some critics have done. it is more comparable to the last conversation you or I had with almost anybody. the other possible value of the project might have been the available insight into Wallace.
if there is any insight into Wallace, it seems to be that he's just a regular jerk like you and me. oh, and he wore bandanas because he liked them and apparently did not use heroin at some point. fascinating.
