Review of The End of the Tour (2015) by Kurtiss K — 23 Aug 2015
At first it felt like the film was preaching to me. Showing me all the wrongs of modern society, so that I could feel bad about myself for enjoying it. However, soon I found myself engrossed, fully engaged, nodding, and even laughing along; similar to how I feel it's like to read and experience Wallace's famed novel, "Infinite Jest".
It became very hard to look away, and then I understood. I feel like I could write a hundred pages on the emotional circus that a few simple conversations in a film made me feel. Eisenberg and -particularly- Segel were a tour-de-force in a film about simple, but very important, things.
I look forward to opening the pages of "Infinite Jest" in the near future.
