Review of The Emperor's Club (2002) by Malcolm C — 18 Jun 2007
Not altogether lighthearted, yet providing a few laughs ("Stupid lasts forever") it also carries with it a clear moral. The integrity of Kline's character makes for a good model sorely lacking in most modern films, and the one place he slips up has long-lasting ramifications.
The acting by Kline was very good, happily as the other characters didn't draw much attention (excluding, perhaps, Emile Hirsch's character). Similar in story to The Dead Poets Society, yet the lesser of the two, in my own opinion.
