Review of The Elephant Man (1980) by Jeremy C — 27 Oct 2008
This is without question the most moving piece of cinema I've seen. It explores the extremes of human compassion and cruelty with amazing performances from Anthony Hopkins and John Hurt. Unlike most of David Lynch's films which take time and patience to process, this one is straightforward and devastating.
The closing scene is unforgettable.
