Disturbingly well done. It seems impossible not to feel for the fate of the Elephant Man beautifully portrayed by John Hurt. Anthony Hopkins gives a very sympathetic performance as well. David Lynch, the uncrowned king of surreal movies, proves that he has other talents as well.
