Review of The Elephant Man (1980) by Christian H — 26 Feb 2011
A gorgeous, moving drama that manages to be distinctly a David Lynch film while also a lavish period piece. In fact it's hard to believe this is Lynch's second feature (though there is a lot of Eraserhead present) because it's so fully-realized.
Though it may not be as influential or unique as his other work, I feel this is in many ways his masterpiece.
