Review of The Elementary Particles (2006) by Sidhartha D — 09 Feb 2009
I love how people don't get this film. I love the way it shocks and provokes, makes you laugh and cry and keeps your attention with some very good performances. Its another example of the excellent German cinema being made at the moment. Moritz Bleibtreu who plays a sex mad teacher, Bruno, is one of the finest actors in Germany and he doesn't disappoint in this film. I first saw him the German thriller Das Experiment and was captivated by his skill as an actor.
Director Oskar Roehler is a troubles soul himself so he was the perfect man to bring this story to the big screen in such an entertaining, up-front and engaging manner. Watch this.
